I'm Juliana, a textile artist and embroiderer specialising in realistic embroidery, based in Toulouse.

The artist
Juliana, embroiderer in Toulouse
I discovered embroidery in 2021, at a time when I was looking for a new way to create and express myself. Living in another country, I gradually felt the need for another form of language: words weren't always enough to say what I felt, what I saw, or what I wanted to tell. I found in thread and needle a way to give shape to these things differently.
Embroidery became much more than a technique. It taught me to slow down, to observe and to look differently: light, shadows, colours, textures, the small details that make an image or a memory unique. It's also a way for me to find myself again professionally and to build, with my own hands, work that feels like me.
Journey
Path
Then motherhood entered my story and gave new depth to my relationship with time and memories. The moments we'd like to hold onto, the images we grow attached to, the small fragments of life that become precious over time…
It's in this world that Memoar was born. An atelier where memories become matter, where photographs can be transformed into textile works, and where embroidery can also become an experience: taking the time to create, learn, observe and make things with your own hands.
Through my works, my custom creations, my kits and my workshops, I try to convey the same idea: some moments deserve to take shape so they can remain. Today, I create from my atelier in Toulouse, among threads, fabrics, photographs and fragments of life.
" Some moments deserve to take shape so they can remain. "
